Andrew Balazer is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies Practice and the Automotive Industry Team.
Prior to joining Foley, Mr. Balazer was a summer associate for Bell, Boyd & Lloyd LLP and a patent clerk for Greer, Burns & Crain, Ltd where he drafted responses to office actions, conducted litigation defense research and prepared infringement opinions for patents and trademarks. He also has experience as an engineer in the patent group of Ford Motor Company.
Mr. Balazer received his J.D., magna cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law (2009), where he was a recipient of the Merit Scholarship, the 2007 Donald W. Banner Corporate Intern Scholarship, and the 2009 Allen J. Hoover Award. During law school, he was a teaching assistant for Legal Writing I & II and was vice president of the IP Law Society. Mr. Balazer also has a B.S. in mechanical engineering, cum laude, from the University of Michigan, College of Engineering (2003).
Mr. Balazer is admitted to practice in Michigan and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
