Andrew Gross is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the firm’s IP Litigation and Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies Practices. Mr. Gross’ practice involves the resolution of patent, trademark, and other intellectual property disputes. His experience spans many diverse technologies, including software, global positioning systems, aircraft fuel systems, valves, turbine generators, medical devices, solar concentrators, photovoltaic cells, and electrocatalysts for fuel cells.
Before beginning his legal career, Mr. Gross was a mechanical engineer with Caterpillar, Inc. As an engineer, he designed and performed structural analysis on large diesel engines for on-and off-highway applications.
Mr. Gross earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He received his bachelor’s degree, with distinction, in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University.
Mr. Gross is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He serves on the board of directors for the Chicago Legal Clinic, and the junior board of directors for the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic in Chicago.
