Charley Meng is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP practicing general corporate and business law, with a focus on international transactions, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring law matters. He is a member of the Transactional & Securities Practice.
Mr. Meng has represented a broad range of clients on domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, private equity transactions, and bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Meng also regularly counsels clients doing business in China on general corporate and governance issues.
Recent assignments include:
- Represents a public company engaged in the production of pork and feed on its U.S. and China operations
- Represents a Fortune 100 company engaged in the petroleum and petrochemical manufacturing business on contractual matters pertaining to joint ventures and divestitures
- Represented a private equity fund on various acquisitions and divestitures
- Represented a U.K. company in its acquisition of a U.S. company and its U.K., French, and Swedish affiliates
- Represented the official committee of unsecured creditors in the chapter 11 case of the world’s largest producer of flexible solar panels
Mr. Meng earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He received a B.A. in economics from Stanford University, where he earned a Dean’s Outstanding Achievement Award.
Mr. Meng is admitted to practice in Michigan and before the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. He speaks fluent Chinese.
