Dario Carnevale serves as vice chair of the Real Estate Practice, South Florida at Foley & Lardner LLP. With a wide range of high-profile business law experience, Mr. Carnevale has represented Fortune 500 companies, leading private companies; global banks and financial institutions; major real estate developers; asset managers/operators; investment banks; private equity firms; global entertainment, media and technology corporations; hotel companies; entrepreneurs, celebrities; high net-worth individuals and other institutional, governmental, individual and corporate clients (including leading publicly traded and privately held companies) in a variety of matters, primarily focusing on sophisticated finance, real estate, entertainment and corporate transactions. Mr. Carnevale is also a member of the firm’s Life Sciences and Health Care Industry Teams.
His corporate transactions have included mergers and acquisitions; private equity and corporate finance; arranging acquisition financing and other types of financing; international transactions; various business development deals; and negotiation of a large variety of complex agreements relating to joint ventures, strategic partnerships, marketing and operations, as well as handling day-to-day legal affairs.
Mr. Carnevale’s real estate transactions have included purchase, sale, development, financing, and leasing of commercial, industrial, residential, office and retail properties and mixed-use developments, ranging from multi-family communities and vacant real estate, to office buildings, hotels and resorts, office parks, warehouse parks, theme parks and retail/entertainment facilities, as well as public/private transactions.
His entertainment transactions have included motion picture, television and music law as well as transactions related to professional sports. Mr. Carnevale is considered a leader in the field of live entertainment and events, having been involved in the organization, production and promotion of large scale concerts, tours, festivals and other events throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, and South America, many of them televised/broadcast and/or streamed globally. He has been lead counsel in some of the most significant mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances in the industry involving the world's largest producers of live music and entertainment events.
Mr. Carnevale graduated from the University of Miami School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude), with a final rank of number one in his graduating class. He served on the editorial board of the University of Miami Law Review and was named to the Order of the Coif, Dean's List, and President's Honor Roll (4.0 GPA).
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami (B.B.A., summa cum laude), with a final rank of number one in his graduating class. Mr. Carnevale was elected to Phi Kappa Phi; Beta Gamma Sigma, Golden Key; Dean's List, and President's Honor Roll (4.0 GPA). He also earned business school honors and departmental honors in international finance and marketing.
In addition, Mr. Carnevale attended Georgetown University Law Center’s Florence, Italy International Law Program, and Loyola University of Chicago Law School’s Rome, Italy International Law Program.
He is admitted to practice in Florida, New York and the District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.). His court admissions include the Supreme Court of the State of Florida; the District of Columbia Court of Appeals; the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (Federal Court); and the State of New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department.
