High unemployment rates have increased the pressure to approve unemployment compensation claims. Some states have drastically increased unemployment compensation premiums to improve the financial stability of their funds. In both cases, employers are left with higher premiums and more claims being approved.
This Web conference covered practical ways to successfully defend unemployment compensation claims — specifically, documentation, presentation of evidence, and overcoming objections. We also discussed the steps employers can take to minimize issues that can lead to increased unemployment compensation premiums.
