Edward Hammond is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP and is a member of the Finance & Financial Institutions Practice and Energy Industry Team. He focuses his practice in the area of commercial and industrial financing transactions, including energy and infrastructure project financing, syndicated bank loan transactions and institutional investment in long-term debt securities. Mr. Hammond serves on the board of trustees of the American College of Investment Counsel and currently serves as treasurer of that organization. He is a member of the American Bar Association and its Business Law Section, as well as of the Milwaukee Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin.
Mr. Hammond has been Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system and was selected for inclusion in the 2005 - 2009 lists of Wisconsin Super Lawyers®. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2007 - 2013 editions of The Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of banking law, structured finance law, project finance law, and financial services regulation law. Mr. Hammond received his bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Yale University in 1978 and his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago in 1981. In addition to Wisconsin, he also is admitted to practice in the state of Massachusetts.
