George A. Dionisopoulos is a partner in the firm's Estates & Trusts Practice. He has extensive experience with the specialized needs of closely held business owners and corporate executives, and has assisted many private clients in successfully transferring family businesses from one generation to the next.
Mr. Dionisopoulos is a frequent speaker on tax and estate planning topics, including recent presentations at the Corporate Practice Institute, the Chicago-Kent Annual Tax Seminar, the Midwest Regional Meeting of the American College of Trust and Estates Counsel, and the Trusts and Estates Section of the National CLE Conference. He is the author of "The Wisconsin Marital Property Law and Its Effect on Estate Planning" and a co-author of the State Bar of Wisconsin's Workbook for Wisconsin Estate Planners. He formerly wrote a regular column on business succession planning for the Milwaukee Journal.
A member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Mr. Dionisopoulos received his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois in 1976, and his law degree, cum laude, from Harvard University in 1980. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Among his community and civic activities, Mr. Dionisopoulos has served in leadership positions with the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Ten Chimneys Foundation, Neighborhood House, Old World Wisconsin Foundation, and the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Foundation.
