George Schaefer is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Finance & Financial Institutions, Public Finance, Transactional & Securities and Health Care Finance & Restructuring Practices.
Prior to joining Foley, Mr. Schaefer participated in Foley’s summer associate program and held a clerkship position with the Civil Actions Bureau of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. He has experience as a Web developer, business systems analyst and e-commerce administrator.
Mr. Schaefer was selected for inclusion in the 2010 Illinois Super Lawyers–Rising Stars® edition for his work in bonds/government finance, business/corporate and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Schaefer received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College (magna cum laude) in 1999. He received his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law (cum laude) in 2006. While in law school at Northwestern, Mr. Schaefer was executive editor of the Northwestern Journal of International Law & Business.
Mr. Schaefer is admitted to practice in Illinois.
