Negotiating to Avoid Risk

Foley Partner Jeffrey Soble authored an article that was published in Supply & Demand Chain Executive on October 12, 2011. In the article titled "Negotiating to Avoid Risk," Soble discusses how companies can utilize contract negotiations to diminish the supply chain risks that may arise when suppliers encounter financial problems. He says that each supply contract should be treated as unique, adding that boiler plate contracts work well as starting points and can be tailored to allocate the risks inherent in specific contracts.
