Jan Salek-Anderson is an analyst with the Arbitrage Rebate Company of Foley & Lardner LLP. She has 30 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping and 20 years of specific experience working on arbitrage rebate matters.
Ms. Salek-Anderson has assisted in the completion of more than 2,000 arbitrage rebate determinations. She obtains and evaluates the needed data, has the requisite calculations completed, and prepares documentation to evidence the determination. She is familiar with trust accounting for bond-related funds and with the accounting practices used by governmental bond issuers, as well as the for-profit and not-for-profit companies that borrow bond proceeds, as needed to allocate and track expenditures and investments. She also is experienced in reviewing bond documents for compliance-related provisions and pertinent information. In completing arbitrage rebate determinations, she regularly communicates with corporate trustees, bond issuers, conduit borrowers, and the reviewing attorneys.
Ms. Salek-Anderson has an associate’s degree in accounting. Before joining the Arbitrage Rebate Company staff, she worked as a bookkeeper for a real estate developer, an internal auditor for a regional brokerage firm, and a trust accountant for Foley’s estate and trust department.
