Jeffrey Mikrut is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. He has performed intellectual property work in the fields of medical devices, software, mechanical devices, telecommunications, business methods, and optics/image processing. He is a member of the firm’s Electronics Practice.
Prior to joining Foley, Mr. Mikrut was an associate with Frost Brown Todd LLC. He also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Virginia Kendall of the Northern District of Illinois (2010).
Mr. Mikrut graduated, magna cum laude, from Chicago-Kent College of Law (J.D., 2010), where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. He served as executive articles editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review and associate editor of the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property. He graduated, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame, where he studied aerospace engineering (B.S., 2007) and worked as a research assistant.
Mr. Mikrut is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Intellectual Property Law, Patent Litigation Committee. He has served as subcommittee co-chair for 102/103 issues since 2011. Mr. Mikrut was also a member of the Cincinnati Intellectual Property Association, where he was a member of the Constitutional Committee and Programming Committee.
He is admitted to practice in Illinois and Ohio.
