Jeremy Wooden is an associate at Foley & Lardner LLP and is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment and Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practices.
Mr. Wooden regularly handles wage and hour matters, including wage and hour class and collective actions under both the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and the California Labor Code and Business & Professions Code. Mr. Wooden has handled a wide variety of civil litigation matters in federal and state courts in California, including motion practice and oral argument involving wage and hour class actions, non-competition and trade secret claims, and claims of discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination. Mr. Wooden has represented and counseled clients in a variety of labor and employment, FMLA, CFRA, FLSA, California Labor Code, and non-compete and trade secret matters.
Mr. Wooden’s Representative matters include:
- Obtained numerous dismissals of state and federal pleadings, including wage-and-hour class action pleadings, itemized wage statement and recordkeeping claims, and claims for unjust enrichment, conversion, and infliction of emotional distress
- Successfully obtained a preliminary injunction to preserve electronic evidence in non-competition and trade secret matter
- Successfully assisted in defeating class certification of California wage-and-hour claims, including by engaging in extensive per-certification class discovery and drafting motions to defeat class certification

Mr. Wooden was an associate editor of the Utah Law Review and graduated from the University of Utah, SJ Quinney College of Law, with high honors (J.D., 2007). Mr. Wooden earned a MPhil in international relations from the University of Cambridge (2004), and his undergraduate degree from Utah State University (B.A., honors history, 2002).
