Jodi Fox is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP, where she is a member of the firm’s Distribution & Franchise, Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution, and Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation Practices and the Insurance & Reinsurance Industry Team.
Ms. Fox focuses on the resolution of high stakes litigation arising out of complex commercial transactions, with an emphasis on shareholder derivative actions. Specifically, she frequently handles disputes involving shareholder agreements, development agreements, stock and asset purchase agreements, and allegations of corporate and board member misconduct.
In addition, Ms. Fox’s practice focuses on distribution related matters, including litigation and counseling in relation to dealership terminations, statutory compliance, and automobile/manufacturer relationships. Her experience also includes insurance litigation ranging from coverage disputes to class actions.
Prior to joining Foley, Ms. Fox was an associate at Jenner & Block. Ms. Fox received her J.D., cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law. During law school, she participated in the UNROW Human Rights Impact Litigation Clinic, representing foreign victims of human rights abuses. Ms. Fox earned her B.A., cum laude, in political science from Carleton College.
Ms. Fox authored, "Living in a Material World: The Evolution, Purpose, and Future of Material Adverse Change Clauses," Bloomberg Law Reports: Mergers & Acquisitions, in November 2008.
Ms. Fox is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, and the Seventh Circuit.
