Kristy K. Marino is an associate in Foley’s Labor & Employment and Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practices.
Ms. Marino’s primary practice includes counseling clients on a wide range of employment-related matters, including wage and hour compliance, disability accommodations, family and medical leave issues, and other state and federal employment laws. She has represented employers in federal and state litigation matters involving a variety of employment issues, including wrongful termination, employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, trade secrets, and whistleblower claims.
Ms. Marino also represents management in traditional labor matters such as union grievances and arbitrations, and unfair labor practices proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board or California Public Employment Relations Board.
Ms. Marino has experience working on a variety of complex commercial litigation matters.
Pro bono work also makes up an important part of Ms. Marino’s practice, including counseling non-profits in employment matters and immigration matters.
In 2004, Ms. Marino worked as a summer associate at Foley. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an extern to the Honorable Frank C. Damrell of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California. She also worked as a volunteer for the Employment Law Clinic in Sacramento.
Ms. Marino earned her law degree from the University of California, Davis. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English, with minors in sociology and ethnic studies, from Santa Clara University (B.A., cum laude).
Ms. Marino is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in California.
