We also counsel and represent clients in administrative adjudications and in regulatory investigations and hearings.

Government Enforcement/White Collar Defense: We represent and defend corporations and individuals in government enforcement proceedings, criminal investigations and trials, false claims investigations and trials, and other types of internal investigations. Our experienced team of attorneys in Los Angeles includes former federal prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office and, as needed, they can call upon other seasoned counsel across the country, including a cadre of former federal prosecutors, who regularly conduct internal investigations for corporations and assist corporations in the evaluation and design of compliance and internal controls procedures and policies. Health Care: Foley has a long-standing and nationally recognized health care practice, principally representing institutional, governmental, and individual providers of medical care. In the Los Angeles office, we have extensive experience in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, fraud, and abuse as well as health care compliance matters, health care transactions and joint ventures, provider operational issues, and HIPAA privacy and security issues. We are actively involved in developing hospital/physician alignment strategies, and are closely monitoring health care reform and its implications for providers.
