Meredith A. Brooks is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the Taxation, Finance & Financial Institutions, Public Finance, and Health Care Finance & Restructuring Practices, as well as the Energy Industry Team. She works with the Foley’s Arbitrage Rebate Company providing legal review of arbitrage rebate determinations and assists health care systems with their voluntary closing agreement submissions to the IRS. Ms. Brooks also has broad experience serving as corporate, bond and underwriter’s counsel in a number of tax-exempt bond issues in the governmental, health care and transportation areas.
Ms. Brooks earned her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D., 2008). While in law school, she earned a Wharton Certificate of Business and Public Policy. She was a student leader and advocate for the Christian Legal Aid Clinic, a member of the Black Law Students Association, and a Morris Fellow. Ms. Brooks received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Yale University (B.A., 2005).
