Michael J. Callahan is an associate with Foley & Lardner. He is a member of the Transactional & Securities and the Private Equity & Venture Capital Practices as well as the Emerging Technologies Industry Team.
Mr. Callahan represents companies in all stages of growth in a variety of corporate transactional matters, including corporate formation and maintenance, commercial transactions, angel and venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, private placements of securities, and public company reporting and compliance. Mr. Callahan has also advised private equity and venture capital funds in connection with their investments and issues with their various portfolio companies.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Callahan worked as a legal intern in the Wireless Telecommunications Division of the Federal Communications Commission. He served as a key member of the team managing the rebanding of the entire 800Mhz wireless spectrum, including researching commission action and meeting with the transition administrator and licensees.
Mr. Callahan received his law degree, with honors, from The George Washington University Law School (J.D., 2007), where he was a member of the Corporate and Business Law Society and a student member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. He received his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University (B.S., 1999).
Mr. Callahan is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
