Bryan S. Schultz is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the Transactional & Securities and Commercial Transactions & Business Counseling Practices and the International Business Industry Team. Mr. Schultz represents both public and private companies in a variety of industries with respect to transactional and business law matters. His work focuses on acquisition and divestiture transactions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, commercial transactions and general corporate matters. Mr. Schultz represents buying and selling parties in a wide range of business combination transactions, including various types of cross-border transactions. In addition, he routinely advises clients with respect to general corporate and commercial matters, such as general contract law, distribution arrangements, executive and business succession issues, licensing issues and personnel matters. Mr. Schultz also has experience with private equity fund formation and portfolio company investments. Mr. Schultz received his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as articles editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review. He graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato, magna cum laude, with a bachelor's degree in finance. He is the author of "Electronic Money, Internet Commerce, and the Right to Financial Privacy: A Call for New Federal Guidelines" and "Feigning Fidelity to Section 10(b): Insider Trading Liability After United States v. O'Hagan," for which he received a writing award. Mr. Schultz's professional affiliations include memberships in the Milwaukee Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin and American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
