Brian W. Bauman is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP where his practice includes acquisitions, divestitures, private offerings of securities and the formation and representation of both onshore and offshore hedge funds. He also has significant experience within the grocery industry, including negotiating leases, supply and franchise agreements. Mr. Bauman also acts in the capacity of outside general counsel for several clients. He is a member of the firm's Transactional & Securities and Private Equity & Venture Capital Practices.Mr. Bauman has been involved in transactions involving manufacturing, publishing, grocery assets, nuclear pharmaceuticals, consumer products and a variety of service industries, as well as the formation and representation of both onshore and offshore hedge funds. He received his B.B.A., with highest distinction, in real estate and urban land economics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1998. In 2001, he received his J.D., magna cum laude, also from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He also is admitted to membership in the Order of the Coif. Mr. Bauman is admitted to practice in Wisconsin. Mr. Bauman was included in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 lists of Wisconsin Super Lawyers – Rising Stars by Law & Politics Media, Inc. for his mergers & acquisitions, business, and corporate work. In 2009, In Business magazine cited Mr. Bauman as one of the "40 Under 40" upcoming business leaders in the Greater Madison Area.
