Jacqueline Marie Saue is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the Health Care Industry Team and chair of the team's Managed Care Focus Group. She is also a member of the firm's Antitrust and Privacy, Security & Information Management Practices.Ms. Saue concentrates her practice in the health and regulatory areas with an emphasis on managed care, ERISA, HIPAA and health antitrust. Her clients include HMOs and other managed care organizations, health plans, provider sponsored organizations, provider networks and integrated delivery systems. She has represented clients in connection with the formation of integrated delivery systems and joint ventures; the negotiation and regulation of risk sharing arrangements between providers and health plans; the acquisition and sale of health care entities; the design and operation of managed care plans; insurance regulation and coverage issues; ERISA and HIPAA counseling and litigation; health technology issues; and health antitrust counseling and litigation. Ms. Saue has written and spoken frequently on health law issues, including managed care liability and health antitrust. She is a member of the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. With her partner Gregg Dooge, she co-authored the chapter on "ERISA and Managed Care" in the Aspen publication The Managed Health Care Handbook. Ms. Saue was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2010 in the field of health care law. She was also named an Outstanding Health Care Antitrust Lawyer in 2007 by Nightingale's Healthcare News. A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 1975), Ms. Saue served as an editor of Law and Policy in International Business. Her undergraduate work was at Mount Holyoke College (B.A., magna cum laude, 1972). Ms. Saue is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland, and before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia and Fourth Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the District of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Ms. Saue joined Foley in 1989 from partnerships in other Washington, D.C. law firms.
