Kristel Schorr
Senior Counsel

Kristel Schorr is senior counsel with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the Chemical, Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Practice and the Life Sciences Industry Team. Dr. Schorr counsels life science clients on intellectual property matters, including drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, conducting due diligence analyses, and preparing invalidity, non-infringement and freedom to operate opinions in all biotechnical areas, particularly molecular and cell biology, gene therapy, immunology, and oncology.

Prior to joining Foley in 2001, Dr. Schorr studied the regulation of apoptosis in mammary epithelial cells in graduate school, and also authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications.

Dr. Schorr graduated from The George Washington University Law School (J.D., 2004), University of Maryland School of Medicine (Ph.D., medical physiology, 2000) and The Pennsylvania State University (B.S., kinesiology, 1994). She is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
