Ladonna Y. Lee
Strategic Counselor

Ladonna Y. Lee, a strategic communications consultant, is based in the Washington, D.C. office of Foley & Lardner LLP, where she serves as vice chair of the Government & Public Policy Practice. Ms. Lee is also a member of the firm's Real Estate Practice and the Sports, Food, Insurance, Senior Living, Energy and Health Care Industry Teams.

Ms. Lee counsels corporations, associations and coalitions in the areas of strategic planning and communications. She has extensive knowledge and experience in designing and managing public support campaigns for clients facing opposition or complex communications challenges or needing regulatory approval as well as positioning campaigns for corporations and associations. She also provides crisis management counsel.

Ms. Lee coordinated campaigns for the U.S. and Korea in their successful bids for the World Cup; directed a program for development of electoral assistance in emerging democracies for the U.S. Agency for International Development; and participated in international electoral programs.

Ms. Lee provides strategic counsel to federal and state political campaigns and organizations. Her 35 years of experience in politics have included working for candidates and incumbents from the legislature to the White House.

Prior to joining Foley, Ms. Lee was president and co-owner of The Eddie Mahe Company, a communications and public affairs firm specializing in business, association and political communications. She also worked for the national Republican committees. In her home state of Colorado, Ms. Lee worked in the Governor's office and the legislature.

Ms. Lee is a former member of the board of the Washington Center for Politics and Journalism and serves on the board of The Center for Western and Cowboy Poetry. She was an editor for Campaign War Stories by Tony Payton.

Ms. Lee owns a working ranch in Colorado. She attended the University of Northern Colorado.
