Christi R. Adams
Senior Counsel

Christi R. Adams is senior counsel in the Orlando office of Foley & Lardner LLP, where she is a member of the firm's Consumer Financial Services and Labor & Employment Practices, as well as the Trade Secret/Noncompete Specialty Practice. In addition, Ms. Adams has first chair experience representing Fortune 100 companies.

As a member of the Litigation Department, Ms. Adams has experience working with all aspects of complex litigation and trial matters, and with preparing briefs for matters before appellate courts in Florida, Nevada, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Adams maintains a broad-based consumer financial services litigation practice. She has handled litigation matters arising under the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Credit Billing Act, "fair lending," the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, and other federal and state unfair trade practice and consumer protection laws.

As a member of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice, Ms. Adams has worked on matters involving ADA accommodations, Title VII claims, non-compete cases, premises liability, products liability, UCC matters, and matters involving all facets of contractual interpretation and enforcement. Ms. Adams also has formulated responses to the EEOC for corporate clients and conducted harassment investigations.

Ms. Adams was selected for inclusion in the 2009 and 2010 Florida Super Lawyers – Rising Stars® lists for her business litigation work.

Ms. Adams received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law in 2001. In 1996, she received her B.A. in political science from Florida State University, specializing in Middle Eastern relations, with a minor in history.

Ms. Adams' professional experience includes three-and-a-half years as a tax and audit accountant for the Florida Department of Transportation, working in the accounts receivable and joint participation agreements sections. In law school Ms. Adams was selected for a judicial clerkship with the Florida Supreme Court.

Ms. Adams is a member of The Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association. She continues to be active in her community. Ms. Adams recently concluded her second term of being elected the chairman of the City of Orlando's Civil Service Board, and is currently General Counsel for the Florida Federation of Young Republicans.
