Erika A. Alley
Associate
Erika Alley is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP concentrating on estate planning, probate and estate and trust administration. She advises clients on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, fiduciary income tax planning, charitable planning, planning for closely held businesses, and retirement account and life insurance planning. Ms. Alley's practice also encompasses estate and trust litigation, including will and trust contests, judicial constructions of wills and trusts, breach of fiduciary duty issues, charitable pledge disputes, and appeals of such matters. She is a member of the firm's Tax & Individual Planning and Estates & Trusts Practices.Ms. Alley is a frequent author and speaker on estate and trust law related topics. Ms. Alley's professional activities include regular pro bono work on estate planning and not-for-profit matters and membership in the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association. She earned a B.A. in English from Wittenberg University (summa cum laude, 1999), and received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology (with high honors, 2002).
