Rebecca Hayes is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations and Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practices. She focuses her practice in the areas of corporate and financial restructuring, insolvency, bankruptcy, and debtors' and creditors' rights. She has represented liquidation trustees, indenture trustees, and creditors in bankruptcy and adversary proceedings, including director and officer liability claims, preference and fraudulent transfer avoidance actions, and claim administration and objections.
Ms. Hayes previously served as a summer associate in Foley’s New York office.
Ms. Hayes received her law degree from the University of California, Davis (J.D., 2010), where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and was managing editor for the Journal of International Law and Policy. In addition, she served on the University of California Davis Moot Court Board as a problem writing chair for the intra-school Moot Court competitions. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester (B.A., magna cum laude, 2007).
Ms. Hayes has dedicated pro bono hours to advising individual consumer debtors regarding the bankruptcy process. Additionally, Ms. Hayes has represented domestic violence victims in family court proceedings against the perpetrator.

Ms. Hayes is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
