Richard Segal is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the Private Equity & Venture Capital and Transactional & Securities Practices and the Emerging Technologies Industry Team.
Mr. Segal represents companies and institutional investors in a variety of transactional matters. He regularly advises technology and life sciences companies on entity structure and formation and works with both companies and investment funds on financing transactions, including convertible debt issuances, early and later stage venture capital and private equity investments, and public securities offerings. Mr. Segal counsels publicly held companies on compliance matters, including corporate governance and the requirements relating to periodic and current reports, proxy statements, and Section 16 reporting. He also represents a broad array of privately held companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, licensing agreements, and other strategic transactions.
Mr. Segal received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School in 2009 and his A.B., cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 2005.
He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
Mr. Segal is fluent in French.
