Richard W. (Jack) Lasater II is chair of Foley's Business Law Department, former managing partner of the Los Angeles office and a member of the Transactional & Securities and Real Estate Practices. His practice emphasizes corporate and securities matters, including general business advice, mergers and acquisitions, financing, and securities compliance. He also provides advice and counseling regarding real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing. He is also a member of the Food & Beverage Industry, Sports Industry, and Insurance & Reinsurance Industry Teams.
Mr. Lasater's corporate clients include publicly traded and closely held businesses engaged in different aspects of manufacturing, sales, service and investment. He has represented clients in the formation of new business entities, capital formation, merger and consolidation, sale and acquisition of stock and assets, general business matters, and liquidation and dissolution. He also has extensive experience in real estate analysis, acquisition, development, construction, management, leasing and finance, and has assisted his clients in the related formation of partnerships, joint ventures and syndications.
Mr. Lasater received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 1971 and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1974.
