Robert Parker is operating officer of Foley & Lardner's Industry Teams. He has management responsibility for departmental business operations and financial affairs, as well as for development of annual business plans and budgets. He also works to develop procedures and to facilitate communication throughout the teams.
Mr. Parker has over 20 years of managerial experience, more than half of which has been as senior advisor to the executive management of global consulting and professional services firms. As business operations manager for the 4,000-person Central Division of a Fortune 1000 engineering consulting firm, he provided business, financial and administrative oversight to senior management. He was also responsible for budgeting and financial forecasting. In successive regional operations and business manager positions for a global engineering firm, Mr. Parker focused on improving profitability and strategic planning, served as operational team leader, had responsibility for staff evaluation and training, and prepared competitive bids and proposals.
Mr. Parker holds a Master's degree in business administration. His Bachelor's degree is in environmental engineering, and he began his career focusing on key technical and training projects for a major public utility.
