Tara E. Langvardt is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP where she is a member of the Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Practice.
Previously, Ms. Langvardt was a summer associate in Foley’s Chicago office, where she assisted attorneys in the IP Department. She was a summer associate with McDermott Will & Emery as well.
Ms. Langvardt earned her law degree from the University of Chicago Law School (J.D., with honors, 2011). During law school, she was on the executive board of the Health Law Society, a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and participated in the Women’s Mentoring Program. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of DePauw University (B.A., summa cum laude, biochemistry, 2008), where she was a member of the Mortar Board Society and recipient of the Lilly Endowment Scholarship, the Percy L. Julian Scholarship and the R. Stanley Lawton, Jr. Prize.
Ms. Langvardt is co-author of the article "Caught in the Copyright Rye: Freeing First Amendment Interests from the Constraints of the Traditional View," Harvard Journal Of Sports & Entertainment Law, Issue 1 Vol. 2, 2011.
Ms. Langvardt is admitted to practice in Illinois.
