Overview Experience Events News Intelligence Claire Marblestone Senior Counsel cmarblestone foley.com Download vCard Claire Marblestone is senior counsel and a health care lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Her practice focuses on transactional and health care regulatory matters, with an emphasis on HIPAA compliance, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark law, provider enrollment, and licensure and certification. She advises a number of clients, including hospitals, health systems and physician groups on regulatory and compliance issues presented by telemedicine and telehealth. Ms. Marblestone provides transactional counsel to health care organizations, physicians, and other health care companies. She has drafted and negotiated documents relating to facility acquisitions, health plan acquisitions, physician employment agreements, and management agreements. Ms. Marblestone advises clients on change of ownership and state licensure issues, and compliance with the Medicare and Medicaid enrollment rules and regulations. Ms. Marblestone has extensive experience developing and implementing compliance programs for skilled nursing facilities. She also advises clients on regulatory and compliance issues presented by telemedicine and telehealth. In addition, Ms. Marblestone provides regulatory advice to health plans and risk bearing organizations on compliance with various state and federal health insurance laws and regulations, including the Knox-Keene Act. Education Ms. Marblestone received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (2011). During law school, she served as the executive note editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, and was a judicial extern to the Honorable Richard Seeborg in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Ms. Marblestone was also a graduate legal research fellow at the UCSF/UC Hastings Consortium on Law, Science and Health Policy. Ms. Marblestone received her bachelor's degree in history, magna cum laude, from the University of California Santa Barbara (2008).
