He is a member of the firm’s Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies Practice and the Automotive Industry Team. In 2014, Mr. Rood served as a summer associate with Harness, Dickey & Pierce, PLC. While in law school, Mr. Rood worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable George Caram Steeh in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Rood gained experience as a naval engineer for Indústria Naval do Ceará in Fortaleza, Brazil, where he performed stability analysis and verified adherence to U.S. and Brazilian classification society regulations. Education Mr. Rood earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 2015), where he was executive production editor for the Michigan Business and Entrepreneurial Law Review and vice president of the Society for Space Law and Law of the Sea. He received his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in naval architecture and marine engineering from the University of Michigan (B.S.E., 2012).
