A Walk on the Wild Side: When Franchisor and Franchisee are on the Same Side of the ‘V’

Gardere Partner Jess A. Dance will participate on the panel “A Walk on the Wild Side: When Franchisor and Franchisee are on the Same Side of the ‘V’” at the Monday session of the 2016 IFA Convention in the District of Columbia.

The session will focus on the issues faced by franchisees and franchisors when they are co-defendants in claims advanced by consumers or other third parties, often in the class action context or involving claims brought by franchisees of the same system against each other. Legal, procedural and business issues, as well as practical aspects of how to work together during the dispute, will also be discussed.
