Creative Charitable Giving Approaches

Foley & Lardner LLP partner Jason Kohout, co-chair of the firm’s Family Office Team, spoke to the Waukesha County chapter of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils relating to Creative Charitable Giving Approaches.  Jason’s presentation focused on the tax benefits from complex, non-cash gifts as well as the recent use of 501(c)(4) organizations to allow for a business to be operated in perpetuity for a charitable purpose.
