Kopp Quoted in Detroit Free Press About How Businesses Can Navigate Returning Employees Back to the Office in Next Phase of Lifting Shutdown Order in Michigan

Partner Jeffrey Kopp was quoted in the Detroit Free Press Artikel, „Michigan workplaces can reopen after stay-home order. Here’s what you need to know,” about the advice he is providing clients who are transitioning employees back to offices following the lifting of Michigan’s stay-at-home order.
Kopp said he is advising a phased approach. The move back to a workspace will look different compared with when manufacturing resumed in early May because employees who work out of an office can usually do their roles remotely, he said.
Even though some office work is allowed to resume, he said he expects the majority of employees will continue to work from home, and that phase could last for a month or two, possibly even longer.
The next phase would be in the fall if schools resume, opening up the possibility for parents without child care to go back into the workplace. And finally, if there’s a vaccine or concerns over the coronavirus subside, most office work could resume within six months to a year.
