Director, Coaching

Anjali Desai is director of coaching with Foley & Lardner LLP and is a member of the Talent Department.  Anjali designed and launched the firm’s first in-house platform through which confidential executive coaching services are provided to its attorneys.  As a certified executive coach, Anjali coaches attorneys at all levels of practice on a variety of topics, including: career strategy and management, business development planning, productivity and time management, effective interpersonal communication, stress management, wellbeing, and positive mindset, and leadership development, management, and teambuilding. In her role, Anjali supports Foley’s attorneys in designing effective and personalized strategies to achieve their performance, career, leadership, communication, and wellbeing goals in a holistic manner.  She also supports the firm’s leadership development and wellbeing programming and initiatives.

Prior to becoming a certified executive coach, Anjali served as assistant general counsel – corporate & compliance and assistant secretary at a publicly-traded mid-sized financial institution, the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac), for seven years. In that position, she worked closely with Farmer Mac’s executive team and board on a wide range of legal matters. Before that, she practiced for five years with Alston & Bird LLP, with a focus on corporate law, securities and M&A.
