Dr. Alexey V. Saprigin is a patent agent in the San Francisco, CA office of Foley & Lardner LLP. He has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications (both U.S. and foreign) in a wide range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, microfluidics, proteomics, welding, solar cells, nanotechnology (including nanobiotechnology), and polymers. Alexey is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, Health Care & Life Sciences Sector, and Chemical, Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Practice.

Prior to joining Foley, Alexey was a national research council postdoctoral associate at the Center of Bio/Molecular Science and Engineering, U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. The focus of his research at NRL was the development of DNA based self-assembled nanostructures and quantitative methods, such as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, X-ray Photoelectron spectroscopy, and ellipsometry, for characterization of such structures.
