Overview Experience Events News Intelligence Elizabeth A. N. Haas Partner ehaas foley.com Download vCard Elizabeth A. N. Haas is a partner and litigation attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP. She provides strategic counsel on complex commercial and antitrust litigation, including class action defense work. Ms. Haas has particular experience in antitrust litigation and counseling, providing regular antitrust and compliance advice to manufacturers, distributors, service providers and trade associations. In addition, Ms. Haas regularly represents corporate clients in all types of business litigation and arbitration, from routine commercial matters to bet-the-company litigation for matters pending in federal and state courts, as well as before various federal and state agencies. An experienced litigator, she represents corporate clients involved in sophisticated, high-stakes commercial and financial disputes in several different industries, including manufacturing, automotive, food and beverage, sports, and technology. In working with clients, Ms. Haas seeks to understand her client’s business and strategic objectives in order to best addresses their needs. Ms. Haas has significant experience in complex electronic discovery and has frequently lectured on the subject. Additionally, she regularly presents on antitrust and compliance issues. Firm Leadership Ms. Haas is vice chair of the national Antitrust Practice, a member of the firm’s national Recruiting Committee, and vice chair for the Milwaukee Office Recruiting Committee. She previously served as a member of the firm’s national Associates Committee. Education Ms. Haas received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was an associate editor for the Michigan Journal of Gender & Law and the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. She graduated from The George Washington University, summa cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in history, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Professional Memberships Ms. Haas currently serves as co-chair of the ABA Section of Antitrust Law Civil Practice and Procedure Committee after holding various other roles on the Committee. Ms. Haas was also the project chair for The Indirect Purchaser Litigation Handbook (2015), a treatise published by the ABA Antitrust Section. She is an active member of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association, the Association for Women Lawyers and the Milwaukee Bar Association for which she currently serves on the board of directors and previously was a co-chair of the Civil Litigation Section. Ms. Haas also serves on the Local Rules Committee for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Admissions In addition to the state and federal courts in Wisconsin, she is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third, Seventh, and Eighth Circuits. Community Engagement Ms. Haas is actively involved in pro bono representation, regularly volunteering her time at the Milwaukee Justice Center at the Milwaukee County Courthouse. Ms. Haas also dedicates significant time to charitable work, including service on the board of directors for WBCS, Inc., a nonprofit organization that raises money for breast and prostate cancer research at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She also previously served on the board of directors for the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee, a nonprofit organization that supports strategic social change initiatives for women and girls. Recognition The Wisconsin Law Journal named Ms. Haas an Up and Coming Lawyer in 2011. This award recognizes rising stars in Wisconsin’s legal community who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, contributed to their community, and successfully achieved notable legal outcomes early in their careers. She has also been named to the Wisconsin Super Lawyers – Rising Stars® lists (2012 – 2016).
