Owners and operators of senior living facilities continue to face compliance challenges through increased fraud & abuse enforcement and changes introduced by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Foley Partner Kevin Egan and Associate Nathaniel M. Lacktman will present at the 47th Annual Convention and Exposition of the Florida Association of Homes and Services for the Aging ("FAHSA") in Boca Raton, Florida on July 27, 2010. Their presentation on corporate compliance in the senior living industry will highlight the following:

  • How to create and maintain an effective corporate compliance program at a senior living or skilled nursing facility.
  • How smaller senior living or skilled nursing facilities can implement cost-effective approaches to compliance and strategically draw on expertise of outside legal counsel without incurring large fees.
  • Emerging topics in corporate compliance facing senior living facilities, particularly nonprofit facilities.
