Foley was proud to sponsor the United States – China Intellectual Property Adjudication Conference on May 28 – 30, 2012 at Renmin University in Beijing, China. This historic event, hosted by the China Law Society and the Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA), drew more than 15,000 participants, including judges from the two countries, intellectual property lawyers, and company representatives.
Foley's China Practice Chair Rick Florsheim presented on the panel, Obviousness, Trade Secret Protection, Damages and Injunctive Relief, and China Practice Senior Counsel Toni Hickey presented on the panel, IP Adjudication Concerning Copyright Issues. Other topics discussed at the conference included: Issues Concerning Intellectual Property Adjudication, Case Management in Patent Litigation, Enforcement of Patent Issues, Commercialization of IP, Contributions of Courts to the IP Systems, and Aspects of Judging.
