AITP Dallas Chapter Meeting

Gardere Partner Peter S. Vogel, chair of the Firm’s internet, e-commerce and technology team, will present “Ethics and Honesty in IP and IT” at the Association of Information Technology Professionals Dallas Chapter Meeting.

Ethics are an important social responsibility for all humans, and in particular to the information technology community. The complexity of IT contracts, whether for implementing ERP systems or cloud hosting, have ethical components, including misrepresenting facts, planting backdoors or failing to protect from cyberattacks. Mr. Vogel’s presentation will touch on many important issues in negotiating IT contracts and protecting intellectual property.
