Foley Partner Nathaniel Lacktman, a member of the firm's Health Care Industry Team and Telemedicine Practice, will moderate the first in a series of American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) telemedicine webinars on September 7, 2016.
His panel presentation is titled, “Telemedicine – The Regulatory Landscape." Nathaniel serves as a Chair of the AHLA’s Telemedicine and eHealth Affinity Group.

In the first of a four-part telemedicine webinar series, participants will hear from lawyers and thought leaders who have advanced the creative edge to develop and implement new models and services in the telemedicine industry. Telemedicine is not a distant possibility; it is here and in use now. Many health care organizations already have begun developing or implementing telemedicine programs. In the first of four webinars in the series, participants will hear from speakers who are successfully helping clients blaze trails for successful, sustainable telemedicine service offerings. The panelists will discuss the legal and regulatory landscape regarding multi-state telemedicine practices, licensure, practice standards, and fraud & abuse considerations in telehealth contracting. The panelists will also discuss the state of payment policy for telemedicine services under Medicare and state commercial insurance statutes.

Serving as a public resource on selected healthcare legal issues, AHLA educates members, their clients and local communities on important health law issues. Learn more and register for the program at AHLA’s website.
