Foley Partner Nathaniel Lacktman, Chair of the firm’s Telemedicine Industry Team and Co-Chair of the firm’s Digital Health Group, will be a speaker at the American Health Lawyer’s Association (AHLA) Physicians and Hospitals Law Institute in New Orleans on February 5-7, 2018. His presentation is titled, “2018 and Beyond: New Ways Providers Are Using Telemedicine and Digital Health.”

This course is a practical discussion of hot topics in telemedicine law and policy. Audience Q&A will be encouraged, and there will be a strong emphasis on policy approaches and how differences among these new laws and rules affect the marketplace.

The presentation will cover:

  • Hot topics and regulatory updates in telemedicine and digital health
  • 50-state surveys highlighting on telemedicine law and rule changes
  • Changes to Medicare billing, coding and enrollment rules for telehealth services
  • How physician groups and hospitals are currently contracting for telemedicine services
  • The growth of evolving "non-face-to-face" services and how they differ from traditional "telemedicine" services
