Gardere Partner Larry Schoenbrun Named 2011 Dallas Corporate Lawyer of the Year

25 October 2010 News

Larry Schoenbrun, a partner in the Corporate section at Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, has been named by Best Lawyers as its 2011 Dallas Corporate Lawyer of the Year.

Only a single lawyer in each specialty in selected communities is named "Lawyer of the Year." These lawyers have received particularly high ratings in the Best Lawyers surveys by earning a high level of respect among their peers for their abilities, professionalism and integrity, according to Best Lawyers.

"This is a great honor," says Mr. Schoenbrun. "I am pleased to say, however, that the designation doesn't belong to me alone. I have tremendous support, both among the lawyers who work with me and the magnificent team of non-lawyer professionals who make our clients' needs their priority on a daily basis."

With more than 40 years of experience as a corporate and securities practitioner, Mr. Schoenbrun has served as corporate advisor and coordinator of legal activities for a number of large and medium-sized corporations. He has represented corporations in their private and public offerings, including corporate reorganizations and work-outs, special committee procedures and investigations, and corporate governance issues.

In addition to this latest recognition, Mr. Schoenbrun has consistently been included in the annual The Best Lawyers in America publication, as well as Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Texas Super Lawyers, and D Magazine's list of The Best Business Lawyers in Dallas.

Steve Good, Gardere's Managing Partner, said he was pleased, but not surprised, by Schoenbrun's recognition.

"Kudos to the editors of Best Lawyers," he says, "for recognizing something we've known at Gardere for some time: When it comes to Corporate Law, Larry Schoenbrun is second to none."
