Partner Lawrence Vernaglia was quoted in an Inside Counsel article, “Obamacare Survives Key Legal Challenge as Subsidies Remain in Place,” on June 25, 2015. The article discussed the Supreme Court’s ruling to uphold the Affordable Care Act in King v. Burwell. Vernaglia shared insights on the impact of the ruling and said, “For in-house counsel representing health care providers, you should see the Supreme Court’s decision in King v. Burwell as a huge win. It means that the ranks of uninsured persons in 37 states will not be swelling by more than 6 million, bad debt will not rise, and insurance markets will not be disrupted.”
