Partner Cleta Mitchell was quoted in a Portland Press Herald
article, "Crowdfunding to pressure Collins on Kavanaugh vote likely to face legal challenge
," about the crowdfunding campaign aimed at pressuring Maine Sen. Susan Collins to vote against the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Mitchell said she believes the campaign is illegal and that the people behind it should be prosecuted. "I believe very strongly in the right of people to contribute money to support the candidate of their choice, but this is different," she said. "I don't believe - and the law does not allow - money to be connected to a certain action."
