Smith Interviewed about Outlook for the South Florida Legal Market in 2019

Partner Leslie Smith was quoted throughout a Daily Business Review article, “Florida Law Firm Leaders Expect Bull Market Heading into 2019,” about her outlook on the South Florida legal market in the coming year.

Smith, the managing partner of the Miami office, told the Daily Business Review that there are numerous areas she expects to keep Foley lawyers busy including, immigration, hospitality and renewable energy.

She also noted that the strong economic outlook has made recruiting and expansion of the Miami office a priority for her. “Foley’s got a strong eye on growing the office here,” she said. “When you look at the economic numbers for the state of Florida in terms of driving the economy of the nation, given where we are size-wise here in South Florida, we need a larger footprint.”
