Mitchell Comments on Hatch Act Probe of Whitaker

Partner Cleta Mitchell was quoted in a Washington Times article, “Acting AG Matt Whitaker likely in clear in Hatch Act probe, experts say,” about an investigation into whether Whitaker violated the Hatch Act when his campaign account from a failed 2014 Senate bid accepted four donations totaling nearly $9,000 earlier this year.

Mitchell said “all this bellyaching” about Whitaker and the Hatch Act is one of the strangest things she’s seen in a long time. “These liberal groups hate Trump so much they are grasping at straws to find ways to object to Matt Whitaker,” she said.
