Partner Cleta Mitchell was quoted in the Politico
article, “Pruitt Legal Fundraising Started Months Before His Exit
,” about when former Trump EPA Chief Scott Pruitt began raising money for his legal defense. Politico reported that Pruitt began raising money for his defense more than two months before he resigned from his position at the EPA.
Mitchell declined to answer Politico’s questions about whether any other entities have accepted money to defray Pruitt’s legal expenses. “The report speaks for itself,” she told Politico, referring to her client’s close-out financial report with the EPA.
