Foley & Lardner LLP is pleased to announce that Melanie Zaletsky has joined the firm as its new Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer, effective today. In this role, Zaletsky will be responsible for leading Foley’s business development, marketing, client service and branding efforts across all practices, industries and offices to help the firm achieve its strategic objectives. She will be based in Foley’s Washington, D.C. office.
Zaletsky brings more than 20 years of experience to Foley, having served as U.S. Head of Business Development and Global Head of Strategic Innovation at global law firm Hogan Lovells, and most recently, as Chief Client Development & Practice Management Officer at Crowell & Moring. She also served in business development and client service executive roles at DLA Piper, Raytheon and Bowne & Co.

Zaletsky replaces Hurley, who was recently appointed Foley’s Chief Operating Officer, as Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer.
Prior to working in law firms, Zaletsky was a U.S. naval officer and was twice deployed to the Persian Gulf. She is a graduate of Stanford University.
