Okaty Quoted in Orlando Business Journal About Strength of Cybersecurity Industry

Partner Mike Okaty was quoted in the Orlando Business Journal article, “Cyber surge: High-tech industry flourishes during pandemic,” about how well business is going for local cybersecurity firms during the pandemic. As more people work remotely, the need for cybersecurity tools is growing. 

Okaty recently represented two Orlando-area cybersecurity firms in capitalizations deals: Fortress Information Security LLC and BlackCloak Inc. Both companies are poised to increase hiring as information technology professionals expect to see an increase in data exposure during the pandemic.  That’s why the cybersecurity industry is likely to be one of the “silver linings” of the pandemic, Okaty said. 

“With more people working remote, it’s of greater concern to control security aspects,” he added.
